Well, I am headed back to psychotherapy, otherwise known as talk therapy.
What does that mean?
It means I have a lot of bad history and memories that cause me problems.
Actually, its a lot more complicated than that, but lets not focus on the big diagnoses, but the actual problems.
Basically, I have an emotional wound that got infected and now there is a buildup of resulting coping and dealing puss that is very painful and debilitating.
Just like with an infected physical wound that has reached this state, you have to lance and drain the emotional wound in order to start the healing process.
Or sometimes just to cope better, and deal with situations that occur in everyday life.
That is what talk therapy does, it cuts open the festered wound and drains the poisonous emotional puss out.
I have tried this form of therapy in the past and I didn’t click with the therapist, they need to be someone you feel empathy from, feel a connection too, but they will call you on your bullshit.
You have to trust them, they have to help you reach inside that wound and pack it with “antibiotic” so it can heal.
But remember like a lot of healed wounds there will be a scar, so if you do take this route, remember its treatment and not a cure.
Here is hoping I can lance my wounds.
