YouTube channel for Writers

Youtube Logo final

As some of you know I am an aspiring writer. While watching other videos on YouTube I decided to see what information there was available for the writer on YouTube. While there was some limited videos, I won’t go into detail here, I couldn’t find anything for writers by writers about writing. I’m not talking about a talking head going on about there writing style, but interviews between two writers. Information on the process of writing, what to do after your first draft is finished. When to query. How to market your work and yourself. Just information that any writer would want or need.

So I started one, so far I have done interviews and excerpt reading from the authors. But coming soon we will have panel conversations about those all important parts of writing that the general public has no idea happen.

I think even non writers will enjoy these videos.

Come watch and you will find new books to read, get to know some new and old Authors and writers. You might even learn more than you ever wanted to know about writing.

I have greatly anticipated the release of Hear Me Scream by R.m James (no that isn’t a typo, there are two R.M James and while they are both great writers I need to differentiate only one wrote this wonderful book).
I had the privilege of watching this watching this writer and novel progress from literary infant hood to the fullest potential they both reach as of tomorrow.
Why tomorrow, well that is when this novel will finally be released.
It has been a long time coming.
Today I got word that we can win a free copy.

A word on this book.
A post apocalyptic tale not for the faint of heart.
You will smile, laugh, cringe and cry.
Like all good reads the emotion and connection to the story and characters are visceral and, for me, absolute.
Not to be missed.

I highly recommend.

Anxiety Disorders

I am very interested in Mental Health and believe the more we talk about it, the more people suffering will seek help and lose the stigma attached to it.

I promised a series of blog posts dedicated to the subject and I’m starting off with Anxiety Disorders.

  • Anxiety disorders: People with anxiety disorders respond to certain objects or situations with fear and dread, as well as with physical signs of anxiety or nervousness, such as a rapid heartbeat and sweating. An anxiety disorder is diagnosed if the person’s response is not appropriate for the situation, if the person cannot control the response, or if the anxiety interferes with normal functioning. Anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and specific phobias.

Now, a lot of people have phobias, but i’m told as long as it isn’t debilitating, but please don’t take my word for it, if you think you have a problem, see a mental health professional.

I understand how hard coping with any of these conditions is, I live with PTSD.

At times it can be very debilitating, I don’t go outside without ear-buds, because loud noises can set off a panic attack and when I’m going anywhere I can take my dog, I do so that I know when someone is coming up behind me while my ear-buds are in.

That is just one example of how I have modified my life to deal with my condition.

You can live a fulfilling life when you have these conditions.

If you think you may have any Mental Health condition, Please seek help.

(I am not a mental Health Professional and in no way am I giving medical advice)
